As soon as the weather turns a little chilly I am looking for comfort food. This crock pot pork roast is pretty high up on the list of things that I am looking for. There is just something about the tender pork over mashed potatoes and gravy that gets me every time.
This pork roast recipe in the slow cooker is made with onion soup mix, and it is going to be a staple in your house. It is just a couple ingredients that you throw together and it comes out super flavorful, comforting, and the whole family loves it!
Ingredients
- 1 3-4 pound pork loin roast
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 2 cups low sodium chicken stock
- 1 packet pork gravy mix
Instructions
- Place pork loin, onion soup mix and chicken stock into a slow cooker. Place on low for 8-10 hours.
- Once pork is cooked, and tender remove from slow cooker and use 2 forks to shred pork.
- Whisk together 1 cup of juices from the slow cooker and packet of gravy mix. Add to a small sauce and a bring to a boil. Cook for 1-2 minutes until it starts to thicken.
- Serve shredded pork with gravy.
