In the laundry, they put into practice a trick which, at first sight, may seem absurd, but in fact produces incredible results, absolutely satisfying always and in every case, so that we all know and are ready to use it at any time.

As anyone who works in the laundry knows, before washing jeans, they pour a little sugar over the top for a very specific reason. Knowing this trick, as well as many other professional tips, can come in handy especially when you have to wash a pair of jeans that’s particularly dear to your heart and you’re afraid it’s going to fade or get ruined, as has probably happened with all your other clothes.

Those who are afraid need only take advantage of this easy, simple and quick tip, which has all the credentials to be the ultimate solution to any problem.

Why you need to be careful when washing jeans in the washing machine: rules to follow
Jeans, in particular, need to be washed with appropriate, non-aggressive products, as they can suddenly discolor or damage them by thinning. The secret in this case lies in pre-washing and, in particular, in the use of sugar. Before washing, put sugar, vinegar and water in a basin and place the pair of jeans to be washed inside.

Once you’ve removed the comma, the color will become vibrant again, as if you’d just bought them. The procedure is as follows: pour 7 liters of lukewarm water into a basin, add a cup of 9% vinegar and 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar. Mix all the ingredients together, then soak the jeans for at least 40-50 minutes.

Once the specified time has elapsed, remove and give them a quick rinse by placing them inside the washing machine and starting the usual wash. This remedy is adopted in all laundries that can’t afford to damage clothes, unless they want to face major consequences.

The solution adopted by laundries to wash jeans and make them as good as new without risk

Washing jeans by hand is obviously tedious, so the washing machine is always the option to consider for proper care. But it’s not the only thing to do, because washing your jeans directly in the washing machine is never a good idea if you don’t follow some precise rules. In general, with the exception of pre-wash, jeans should never be washed at temperatures above 60°C. On the contrary, we recommend always setting a cold-water program to a maximum of 30°C and following the instructions, which are almost always indicated on the labels.

Then, to make sure that the jeans are new again and not faded, scented, stain-free, perfect, it’s advisable to always wash them inside out. If you wish to wash more than one pair at a time, they should be arranged intelligently, so it’s advisable not to mix them all. Black jeans should be washed with dark clothes, white jeans with light clothes and light jeans with light clothes.

As absurd as it may sound, it’s important to use the right detergent for colored fabrics or jeans. You probably don’t know this, but in this case, the use of fabric softener is not recommended. The reason is simple: it damages fabrics. Jeans are much more delicate than other garments and materials, as they are thin and tear easily.

Removing stains from jeans without damaging the fabric
To remove stubborn stains, such as oil stains, you can use talcum powder, which is rubbed very gently over the affected area, before putting the garment in the washing machine. Alternatively, dishwashing detergent is fine – just three drops are enough to eliminate the problem immediately.

The treatment even works against grease stains. To remove blood stains, on the other hand, the jeans are placed on a surface such as the bath or washbasin. Then, using a clean cloth, rub in a solution of salt and detergent, in this case also washing-up liquid or sparkling water. Rub vigorously and the problem will be solved once and for all without any inconvenience or expense.
