Mango Smoothie – an easy fruit smoothie with frozen mangoes, banana, yogurt and milk. Thick, creamy, and such a refreshing way to start the day!
Smoothies are such a great way to start the day. Not only are the tasty, but they are good for you. The thing about making your own smoothie at home is you control the ingredients, the amount of sweetener added, the liquid used and everything else. So you can make it nutrient dense very easily!
A trick to being able to throw together any flavor smoothie in minutes at home is to have your freezer stocked with fruit. That doesn’t have to mean buying frozen fruit at the store. Whenever we have a few berries that are at the end of their life, or bananas that are over ripe, I add them to a bag in the freezer.
So when I make a smoothie and need half a banana, I can just go in there grab a frozen half and I am all set to go. Or I have a handful of mixed berries I can add. Works well with greens too! Have a little bit of fresh spinach left? Add it to the bag. Then just bring it out when you make your next smoothie.
