The term “qi-gong” literally means the cultivation of life energy.
It is a holistic system of coordinated movements, breathing and meditation and is a common practice in martial arts training. It originates from Chinese traditional medicine and philosophy.
It is usually performed in nature, with the face and body facing the sun.
Performing the qigong exercises does not take more than 20 minutes a day, and it helps to fill up with enough energy and merge with nature and relax at the same time.
According to traditional Chinese beliefs, in this way a balance is established between body and spirit, and all organs work in harmony. By simply performing it while gazing into the morning sunlight, it is believed to release all mental and physical blockages in the body.
